Waiting on Wednesday #3

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I'm waiting on Captive by Aimee Carter!

Title: Captive
Series: The Blackcoat Rebellion
Author: Aimee Carter
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Synopsis:
For the past two months, Kitty Doe's life has been a lie. Forced to impersonate the Prime Minister's niece, her frustration grows as her trust in her fake fiancé cracks, her real boyfriend is forbidden and the Blackcoats keep her in the dark more than ever.

But in the midst of discovering that her role in the Hart family may not be as coincidental as she thought, she's accused of treason and is forced to face her greatest fear: Elsewhere. A prison where no one can escape.

As one shocking revelation leads to the next, Kitty learns the hard way that she can trust no one, not even the people she thought were on her side. With her back against the wall, Kitty wants to believe she'll do whatever it takes to support the rebellion she believes in—but is she prepared to pay the ultimate price?

Captive is the second book in The Blackcoat Rebellion Trilogy. I read the first book in the series, Pawn, late last year and I absolutely loved it. I though it held an incredibly intriguing premise and thought I thoroughly enjoyed it, the cliffhanger was a killer. I need to know what happens next!

You can read my review of the first book, Pawn, here.

Captive is set to be released on November 25th, 2014 by Harlequin Teen!

    2. Yeah, I almost put Pawn on my Top Ten Tuesday this week (underrated book series), but there were so many books to choose from, it just didn't make it.
I think this is actually my next week's WoW.

  3. It's one of the lesser known YA dystopians but I think it's definitely worth the read! Thanks for the kind words!

  4. Would you believe that I have the first book tucked away somewhere, but have yet to read it? :O I definitely want to kick it off the TBR by the end of this year! Maybe I'll do it close to the release date of Captive. That way the cliffhanger won't kill me as much xD
